Have you ever wondered about incorporating herbal medicine into your family's health protocol, but maybe you've been overwhelmed, intimidated, skeptical or just downright nervous about it? Well you're in luck! We're lucky to be able to chat with clinical herbalist Laura Clemmons of Strega Gardens - a down-to-earth, easy to understand, definitely not intimidating mom who helps us understand how to dip our toes into incorporating herbal medicine into our family's toolbox - especially to help build immunity during COVID.
Laura walks us through easy (like unbelievably easy) ways to incorporate healing herbs that we probably already have in our kitchens into our daily lives, and gives a basic overview on why she trusts herbal medicine for her kiddos. We also dig into what a "witch" really is, and why healing is totally a woman's lineage. Which OBVIOUSLY means we should all be watching Outlander too, lol.
This episode is loaded with great info, and as we head ever closer to an uncertain fall we're grateful for anything we can do to stay healthy and confident, including:
- the difference between Eastern and Western herbal medicine
- protocol for taking your family out in public and how to cleanse out germs after an outing
- thoughts on essential oils and safety
- how to treat an ear infection
- easy to understand books to dive deeper into practical herbology
- what we have in our kitchens right this moment to help boost our immune systems
- how to get your kiddos to "take the medicine"
Check out Laura's website for more information on all the services she provides, including hormone balancing, increasing fertility, herbal consultations, energy healing and oracle readings.
